Jennifer R. Cochran

Jennifer Cochran started her law practice in 2008 providing services and legal representation in Hays, Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet and Llano counties.   

She grew up in Tyler and Bonham, Texas.  She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas (now Texas A&M University-Commerce) and went on to New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts.  While in law school, she provided research assistance to adjunct professor Wendy Murphy, renowned victims' rights advocate, author, radio host, and CNN/Fox News legal analyst.  Jennifer also interned with Providence firm Partridge Snow & Hahn, the Boston Police Department and the Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence. At the Massachusetts Coalition, she received attribution for her contribution to the organization's first ever publication of the Massachusetts Domestic Violence Homicide Report. 

Jennifer is an avid cyclist and advocate for cycling as transportation. She currently serves on the Texas Bicycle Coalition's Legislative Strategy Committee where she works diligently with other committee members to educate cyclists and the general public about pending legislation as well as talking with legislators about legislation affecting the organization's membership, specifically the Safe Passing Bill. 

Jennifer enjoys exploring Austin and the Hill Country with her husband and Australian Shepherd.  She also enjoys mountain biking, running, swimming, skiing, hiking, and birdwatching.
